Welcome to the Next to Last Festival! We are a charitable, independent music, film, and arts festival/parade/happening based in Athens, GA. Our next fest is currently slated for an October 2010 lift off! To date, we have showcased over 30 unique and inspiring musical acts from all over the country. We've also played host to independent film screenings, progressive speakers, performance art, a vendors market, a farmer's market, and a community info center for creatures of all ages all in the great North Georgia outdoors. What we're trying to do is grind against the grain of the festival experience that so many have become accustomed to - paying too much for too little and getting the short end of their ticket stub. We want to take that seed and spread it out over an entire town for a long weekend next year. Our plans for 2010 hold a lot of expansion for our horizons. We'll be scattering the festival love all over the city - hitting our outdoor amphitheatre, rock clubs, DIY venues, public balconies, rain forest rooms, record stores, city streets, the cinema, the lake, maybe even your house!
