Diane is my favorite living performer to see. Even though listening to her work is a private and powerful experience, beholding her sing is a world of emotion unto itself. Her words are as personal and grounded as the earth, yet float poetically to form ideas and feelings for which there are none. Her voice seems to emanate up through the floor and out of her mouth effortlessly, like a lithe yet ancient vessel channeling the voices of love you knew from lives you lived before you were born. Her guitar work follows suit: creative phrasing, unique rhythm, and delicate harmony with her voice. She is art out of time, in this time, and I implore you to bear witness.

She has been heralded by the likes of Devendra Banhardt, Sharon Van Etten and others as a key reason for their own musical existence. Maybe she'll be yours?
